Welcome to Bognor Regis Art Society

We invite all enthusiastic artists from beginners to the confident painter to join our friendly society. You can view several paintings produced by our members on our gallery page.
Our programme for 2025 is listed on the programme page.
Our society celebrated 75 years in 2022 having been started in 1947 and is still going strong with members who range from absolute beginners to semi-professional with the majority being in between, all sharing the enjoyment of being creative.
We welcome any new members who wish to share our enthusiasm for being creative in a wide range of media.

Demonstrations & Workshops

We meet at the Jubilee Community Centre, Chalcroft Lane PO21 5TU usually once or twice a month on a Saturday afternoon.
This can be for a demonstration or a workshop by a local or professional artist. Sometimes we will hold an 'all day' (11.30 am - 5pm) demonstration & workshop led by a visiting artist.
On other afternoons we have CREATIVE ART sessions. These offer the opportunity for members to work together using favourite media and working to a theme (e.g. Sunrise/sunset) or rising to a challenge (e.g. a 30 minute still life) or just doing your own thing. The aim is to have a creative but fun afternoon.
During the summer we make a date to paint outdoors. This may be in a member's garden or, for 2025, we are exploring other venues e.g. Hotham Park.

Art Exhibitions

Currently we are only exhibiting at outdoor events around Bognor Regis such as the Bognor Regis Drive Thru held in West Park in July and The Aldwick Green Fete. We are exploring other local venues.
We are also working closely with Jo Latus at The Regis Centre so that we will become an integral part of the Rejuvenated Regis Centre when it reopens. We hope to be able to make it our 'home base' with regular exhibitions and other events. Watch this space!

Other events

We round off the year with our Annual Christmas Luncheon at The Beachcroft Hotel - to which many members bring their partner or a friend.
